In 2008, Ms. Abel-Kerns performed as a guest artist with the Ariana String Quartet, and as Helmwige (Die Walküre) with the Wagner Festival Orchestra, Soprano Soloist (cover) for Beethoven’s 9th Symphony with National Chorale at Avery Fisher Hall, and Puccini heroines with Opera Per Tutti of Cleveland to wonderful reviews: “…a richly voiced Abel-Kerns…gloried in some of the most melodic and touching works found in opera” Laura Kennelly-Music & Vision; “…soprano Abel-Kerns enlivened Musetta, Tosca and a superb Madama Butterfly…contributed a warm and expansive voice…singing a wide range with ease.” Linda Eisenstein-Cool Cleveland.

In 2007, Ms Abel-Kerns performed in San Francisco featuring scenes from Imajica (Brian Kern’s opera based on the Clive Barker novel), recreating the roles of Judith and Celestine originally performed with Cantiamo Opera Theatre’s New York New Works Festival. In January 2006, she produced and performed in Imajica’s original cast recording.
